  1. The most interesting topic I have learned in history is probably the Civil War. I really like the Civil War because Abraham Lincoln is my favorite president. I also know a lot about Abe Lincoln because he was a great leader in this country. I am really looking forward to learning about the Civil War this year.

  3. If I had to choice my favorite topic I learned in Social Studies it would have to be the Mesopotamians. The reason why I loved learning about them so much is that at such an early period in time it intrigued me upon how much they had invented. Also, my favorite project for Social Studies was the time capsules. When we did the time capsules I just thought it was a good way of testing home much we learned. It also kept everyone interested because you could also learn new things you didn't know before.
Lastly, what I'm looking forward to learning about this year is Roanoke. I know that if I have Mrs. Morales that it will be much more fun than reading that boring book from fifth grade. I'm so excited to learn about american history this year.

  4. The topic I am most excited to learn about this year is the story of Jamestown. We are always reading about mysteries and maybe even writing one, but I find it to be extremely interesting that America has a mystery of its own. I like to come up with my own expanation for as to why and how everyone just disappeared. Its almost like your creating the history of the United States of America. I can't wait to learn more about the famouse mystery of Jamestown.

  6. The historical person I am most excited to learn about this year will be George Washington. I am most excited to learn about George Washington is because he was the first president of our country and I would like to learn what made him decide to even want to be the president and his life before being president. Learning about his life will be very interesting because I will be able to look at him more than just a president. I will be able to see him as a person, a hard worker, and maybe I could see him as a role model after I learn about his life before and after being president.

  7. The most interesting thing in learned in social studies over the past few years are, the ancient greek civilization. This is my favorite thing we learned about because it related to our core novel book in sixth grade The lightining thief because the book had greek mythology that we would learn in our social studies class. Another reason why we liked the greek civilization was bescause a lot of the things the greeks used then are also used as we speak.

  10. The most interesting topic I learned is in fifth grade and it was the Holocaust. It interested me when I heard Hitlers diabolical actions against the Jews. Another thing is that I like a little action when I read and learn. Finally, the more and more I learned the more I wanted to keep learning about Hitler trying to rule over Europe. The Holocaust is my favorite Social Studies topic.
