King George III and Parliament passed so many taxes on the colonists because they wanted to pay for the wars. Wars were very expensive because they had to pay for the soldiers' food, clothes, shelter, etc. With the extra money this was all able to be paid for.

I think King George taxed colonists for two reasons. One was to pay for all the wars such as the French and Indian War and the War of Jenkin's Ear. Another reason I think was to punish the colonists after the Boston Tea Party. I think back in the 1750's I would be outraged at all the taxes and would be a Patriot.

ReplyDeleteI think that King GeorgeIII and Parliment passed many taxes because they needed money after the wars. They were broke and they needed money so they figured to take the money from the colonists to fix their problems.

ReplyDeleteI think that King GeorgeIII and Parliment passed many taxes, because of the war, and it was so expensive. And King GeorgeIII and Parliment did not have the money for the war so they chose to tax the Colonists since they probley had money that would pay for the war.

ReplyDeleteKing George the third passed all of the taxes becasue he had to pay off the war. England had no money left after the war and now that the war is over they need a way to gain all that money back. It is a tedious thing for the colonists. Although, I feel it is something imperative for him to do. I think that the colonists should have made the declaration of indpendence right when this happened so that the second he started taxing them, the contract would state that he couldnt any more. That would have saved everyone alot of trouble.
King George the third and Parliment passed so many taxes because he had to pay for the war.King George had to pay for the war because England had no money left.Instead of passing so many taxes, England should make prices higher. they should made a law that states that your not alowed to make taxes for everything. England would of been more sucessful.

King George the third and Parliment passed many taxes on the colonists because they need money in order to pay for the war that the British had just won. War was very expensive, the British had to pay for the solider, food, clothes, shelter, etc. With the tax money from the colonists they were able to pay for all of this.

King George The III taxed the colonies because he was in some serious debt .and the french and the Indian war drained his money.he needed money to pay soldiers for their food, shelter and clothes. So they took the money from the colonist by adding tax.

King George III and the parlament origionally started passing so many taxes on the colonists because they had just finished the French and Indian War, and were looking for money from the colonists. But when the colonists started to refuse, King George passed even more taxes because he wanted to show them that he was in charge, and what he said goes.

I think that king George the third taxed the colonist because after the French and Indian war was over he needed money to cover the cost of the war and the only place he could get itwas from the colonists, he thought he could get away with it but the colonists rebeled and this is how the Revolutionary war began, so by trying to end one war he strated another one.

I think that king George the third taxed the colonist because he wanted to pay for the wars. Wars cost alot of money because the army had to supply the army with food weapons and amunition.
ReplyDeleteThe reason why king Gerorge the third and parliament taxed the colonisits was becuase they had a lot of war of debt. I think that it was unfair that king George taxed the colonists on something that he did not have enough money for. King George also started taxing tea and from that the Boston Tea party happend

ReplyDeleteKing George the 3rd put taxe on the colonists for 2 reasons one was to annoy them the other was to cover the expensives of the french and indian war.]

I beleive that the reason King George III and Parliament passed so many taxes, to teach the colonists a lesson and see if they would back down. after they didn't, they passed even more taxes and it worked for a little bit, until the colonies started acting up. also, he had to pay for all this warfare and supplies that were being used, and he decided the colonists would be perfect for the job.

The reason that King George passed the taxes on the colonists was, because he was broke after the war. Now in my opinion the Parliament passed to see if the colonists would care about the taxes. And to see how they would react.

ReplyDeleteI agree with Nicolette. I think that the reason why the king passed so many taxes because of the wars. You wouls need munition, bayonets, it's all expensive, and you would need all of the weapons for hundreds of people.
King George passed so many taxes on the Colonists because England was low on money. The British were low because of all the wars and most of them took place in America. He thought that since the wars took place in the Colonies they should be the ones that were taxed heavily. This over taxation than started the anger that would lead up to the Revolutionary War.

King George III and Parliament passed so many taxes on the colonists because the King didn't have enough money to pay for it by him slef. The King had dicide to place taxist on the tea, stamps, and many more things. He used the taxist from this for the war to help pay for supllies.

I feel that he passed so many taxes was because of the wars that the British were fighting such as the french and Indian war and the war of Jenkins ear. The additional taxes that were passed was punishment for how the colonists acted. For example the Boston tea party was an act of revolting from the colonists and all this revolting and punishment ended up to become what we are learning now the revolutionary war.

I think he did this because war costs so much money. You need to pay for the soldiers clothing, food, shelter, everything. Also, the Boston Tea Party cost so much money for him. Over 342 chests of tea were dumped over board and that was a lot of money right down the drain. This was punishment and repayment for the colonists actions.

I believe king Henry the 3 passed so many taxes to get more money for the government. They needed the extra money so that the British government could recover there money loses from the french and Indian war. Also to help rebuild their economy because they lost so much money from the french and Indian on ammo, paying the soldiers and building forts.

I think King George III passed so many laws because, the Birthish were fighting alot of laws, and had to spend alot of money that they didnt have. So he started passing the laws so all of the colonists gave him money, which he would use to buy everything for the war.

King George passed so many taxes on the colonists because of the French and Indian war. The French and Indian war costed a lot of money for the king, and he after the war he had no money left. How could the king receive the money? Well of course, by putting taxes on anything he could for the colonists to pay for. Also after the Boston Tea Party when over 500 pounds worth of tea was poured into the water that wasted a lot more money. The only way to cover for these fees was to tax the colonists, so that was what the king decided to do.
ReplyDelete-Alyssa A P 2/3 B
They passed a lot of taxes on the colonist because they just fought in the French and Indian War and King George III didn't have money to pay for it so they made the colonist pay for it. The king could of took some things off of the colonists and let them have a break and put it on himself because he does a lot of things and could of took something off of himself and not put it on the colonists. As a result, King George III needs to take some things off of himself.

I think that they passes so much taxes on the colonists becuase King George III needed money for supplies, since they were in the middle of a war. I personnaly think that they should have passes the Declaration of Independence during the time of the French and Indian war.I think that would have been a much better thing to do.
