The Founding Fathers were right about having the three branches. The three branches are Legislative, Executive, and Judicial. However, I do not like how they did not make everyone and everything equal. One branch had it good, and the others had it really bad. They did not make them equal and they really should have.

I liked how you clearly expressed your opinion of the constitution, but you could have been more specific.

they got some of the constitution.but there is one thing they got wrong not letting black people or women vote. Let black people and women vote.
ReplyDeletethe got most of the constitution right except for when they didn't let slaves and women vote. if they have let women and slaves vote then the country would be a better place for them.

Our founding fathers succeeded with economic and diplomatic situations. They did a great job setting up our country as a whole. The only problem is that with that being a positive, they still overshadowed the equality that they promised. It took us till our 15th president before we actually disbanded slavery. It also took us even more time to allow them to vote, never the less women as well. Throughout their proper action they still forgot that all men, are created equal.

Your description on why the Constitution wasn't good was descriptive, but I think you didn't describe the positive side.

Our founding fathers got some of the Constitution right. They were right to set up the three branches of our government, the legislative, judicial, and executive, so that way no one has complete power over the government. They were also right to say that the government would be for people, and protect the people as well as future generations.
ReplyDeleteHowever, they should have done a few things differently when they wrote the Constitution. They should have permitted blacks and women to vote, because they forgot that all men, which includes women, are equal as well. They should have also abolished all slavery and slave trade, which the didn't do at first. It took the Civil War to do that for them. The founding fathers did better at most, but their first Constitution wasn't perfect, but hopefully now it is getting closer.

DeleteI liked how you used clear description and nearly no spelling mistakes, but you forgot to include your name in it.
I agree. Women and black people's rights were a major mistake of the framers. However, they did a very good job on establishing the government and preparing the constitution to aid future generations.

Some of the laws of the constitution made by the founding fathers were right. They were right to create the three branches of the government. They were right to make sure that every state was to follow the laws of the other states and each state has the same rights. However, there were also some negative sides to the constitution. They were wrong to not give women as many rights as men did back then. They were also wrong to allow slaves to be legal.
Don't forget Montana women and or black men and women had no right to vote ether
DeleteOur founding fathers took time to get our Constitution as great as it is today. They got the branches of government right because it makes the power fair, unlike the British. It's good we got that part right, because they would most likely never change. However, we still had slavery and only white men could vote back then. Thank god for the Civil War, because if we didn't have it or if the South won, we might still have slavery today. Although it took some time, we managed to change our Constitution so it is the best one in the world today. Our founding fathers needed to got through some mistakes to fix our Constitution. I'm glad I live in this country with a fair Constitution, even if it wasn't perfect in the beginning.

I agree with you completely. The founding fathers took a while to get our Constitution to where it is today. Even today we are still revising and changing it to make it more equal for everyone. Our founding fathers forgot that all men created equal, includes other races and genders.

The founding fathers got some of the constitution right. They were right to set up the three branches of government, so no one branch was more powerful than the other. They were also right to have each state accept the constitution before it would actually become a state. However they were wrong on some things. They did not provide the equality that they that they promised in the constitution. They should have allowed African Americans and women the right to vote. They shouldn't have just allowed the rich white plantation owners the right to vote. The said that all men were created equal in the constitution so they should have actually stuck to that promise. The constitution was not perfect but hopefully it will get better.

The framers did a excellent job establishing a government where the power is in the people’s hands, but the people don’t have to individually vote on every issue. They also did a good job on ending the slave trade and giving many rights to the people. Another beneficial decision was to not give all the power to the states, or one person in the government. Lastly, they have the perfect balance of power. The government does not control everything we do, nor does it let us do whatever we want.
ReplyDeleteThe framers did not do a good job giving equality, Not all people could vote. The voters were only rich white men. This excluded blacks of all kinds, women, children, and poor whites. That is unfair. Everyone in the U.S should have equal rights and be able to vote. Also, these people were denied of their rights and citizenship.

When the framers (Founding Fathers) wrote the Constitution they got some things right and some things wrong. Even though they did many things correctly the thing the did incorrectly later on in time. For example The Founding didn’t want to deal with slavery so the said that the issue can not come up until a certain year. Later in time the Confederacy and the Union ended up going into the Civil War. If the Founding Fathers abolished slavery in the first then this would not have happened. One thing that the did right was establishing three branches of government.

The Founding Fathers got many things right when they wrote the Constitution. One example of something they did correctly, were the branches of government. The Legislative, Executive, and Judicial branches are still what we use today in government and have been successful. Another thing the Founding Fathers got right when they first wrote the Constitution was the section that stated all states will honor the laws of any other state. If this were not in effect, then there would be chaos between the states and it would be very difficult to travel. One last thing that the Founding Fathers did right when making the Constitution, was saying that the federal government would protect the states from invasion. This is significant, because without this, the people would be unsafe, and many invasions would happen.
ReplyDeleteHowever, the Founding Fathers did get some things incorrect when making the Constitution. One thing they got incorrect was that the slavery was not abolished. slavery has always been wrong and many people treated their slaves terribly. The government should have realized earlier that buying people and using them to do their work was not right. Another thing they got wrong was that woman and African Americans could not vote. What they did not realize is that everyone is capable of having an opinion for the nation. After all woman and African Americans did make up a large amount of the population also. Today, everyone has a right to vote which make everything more efficient.

Our Founding Fathers were right to create the three branches of the government: Legislative, Executive, and Judicial. What they did wrong was not allowing women and blacks to vote, which eventually caused arguments.

ReplyDeleteThe Founding Fathers got right that citizens were involved in the formation of the country. Unlike other Countries at the time, The United States decided that they would not have a king or queen like England did at the time. They did not what their government to reflect Englands.

When writing the constitution, I believe the framers did a good job writing the constitution overall. I agree with most of the amendments that were written in it. It is a good thing that they wanted to make our new nation fair and just by making sure that all American citizens have their freedoms and their rights. It was also a good idea to have the three branches of the government, to give the states power, and to give citizens the right to vote, so all the power wouldn’t belong to one person. It was also a good idea to make the constitution amenable, because laws and rules could change as America grows.
ReplyDeleteEven though I agree with most of what the framers wrote in the constitution, I disagree with some parts of it. For example, Africans should not have been used as slaves. They were treated unfairly, just because of their race. Native Americans were also treated unfairly. They were all forced into moving west and away from the U.S. states, when they should have had the right to stay. Also, women were not treated fairly, because they had very little rights in America, and anything they owned would belong to their husbands when they got married. Even though I agree with most of the constitution, I believe that the framers treated people unfairly, just because of their race or gender.

The founding fathers got it right after multiple times. Even then, the Bill of Rights had to be added to make everything equal. The framers understood what rights were needed at the time, even though they don’t seem necessary today. For example, if a soldier comes to your door, you don’t have to give him quarters or entry to your house. They could have done things a lot more differently. For example, if they had made slaves illegal or they could have added another amendment to the Bill of Rights instead of starting a darn war. The Constitution has some controversial things written in it like how women are not equal with men or that women can vote which is completely and utterly stupid. At the time that seemed reasonable, but now it’s useless, so the Bill of Rights fixed that up and said everyone is equal (at the time, slaves were not included in this). Overall, the Constituion was good for setting up our government, it’s not the greatest one in the world, but that’s what the Bill of Rights is for!

Our founding fathers did great when writing the Constitution because they gave the people power. The government was the opposite of Britain’s Government. The people had freedom of religion and speech. The people got to vote for their leader instead of having an heir like a monarch. One thing that the founding fathers should have did differently was give women and African-Americans more rights. They should have gave them all the rights rich white men had. Ultimately, they wrote one of the greatest documents ever written.

The founding fathers created the American constitution. The founding father embodied and improved the learning ages. They accomplished a revolution which has no parallel in the annals of the human soc city. The wisdom of the founding father remains relevant and can be used to address the most vexing issues facing our nation. The founding fathers did great when writing the constitution because they gave the people the power.
