I think that The Tea Act and The Boston Tea Party were the biggest causes of the American Revolution. I think so because the colonists loved tea and the fact that Parliament taxed that made them want to boycott the tea. So the Sons of Liberty was formed and dumped 342 crates of tea into the ocean. It got the kings attention and made him bring more soldiers to America. Taking more soldiers would mean that there would be more involved with The American Revolution.

I think that the Boston Tea party was the cause of the Revolution which took place on December 16, 1773 at night. At this event, the colonies took all of the Britain's tea that was in the harbor and dumped it over board. They did this to get the king's attention to show that the colonies were serious about this matter and they were rebelling. In the road to revolution video, it said that the Boston Tea Party was the spark that started the Revolution.

I think that the Boston Tea Party is the main cause of the Revolution. The Boston Tea Party took place on December 16,1773. Rebel colonists disguised themselves as Indians and boarded cargo ships in the Boston Harbor containing over US $1,000,000 worth of tea. They then dumped all of the tea into the Boston harbor. This event is the most responsible for the outbreak of the war because it made King George III mad at the colonists, and caused him to begin to tax the colonists even more and made him further punish the colonists. And further punishment of the colonists caused even more rebellion, which caused more battles leading to the American Revolution. Matt M. Period 8/10A

ReplyDeleteI think that the Boston Tea Party was the biggest cause of the American Revolution. I think this because when the colonists dumped 342 crates of tea into the harbor. That is about $1,000 worth of tea. This got the King's attention. He closed the harbor causing an outrage in the colonies. They eventually started fighting.

I agree with Olivia because the tea being taxed mad the colonist very upset and mad. Which caused them to dump the tea. which was 342 chest. This was a lot of money being wasted.

I think that the unfair taxation of the colonist beloved tea was the biggest benefactor when it came to starting the revolutionary war. I think this because this was the most fought about cause during that time, and the British also had to send ever more troops because of it making their presence even more distasteful to the colonists.
ReplyDeleteEthan Dreyer P 8-10 A
I think that the thing that drove the revolution was the taxation. I think this because when the colonists threw the tea off the side of the ship this said something to the British. From then it was known that they were not going to take any more nonsense from the british.

I think that the thing that drove the American Revolution was the Boston Tea Party. I think this because they put 342 crates of tea into the ocean. It got the kings attention, and that is where everything basically started. More tax happened, the colonists got mad, etc. I think the Boston Tea Party caused the American Revolution.

I believe that the Boston Tea Party was the biggest cause of the Revolution. I believe this because the Sons of Liberty threw 342 crates of tea into the water. This informed King George III that they were not going to keep paying the unfair taxes.

ReplyDeleteI feel that the start could have been the Boston tea party since it was the start of rebellion and defiance. The colonists were mad because of the taxes so they got rid of all the tea. That started the chain of events that lead to the revolution itself.
ReplyDeleteErin S 1-2 A
I think the Boston Massacre was the event that really paved the way to the Revolution. After it happened Paul Revere had printed a picture of the event that was completely exaggerated. He gave the newspaper to all of the colonies, and the colonies started to help each other after what they thought had happened in Boston. If this hadn't had happened I think that the colonies never would have come together and America would still be ruled by the British because they never would have had a big enough army if they fought alone to stand a chance against the British. ReplyDeleteI think that cause that was most responsible for the American Revolution, was the Boston Tea Party. This was the biggest cause for the American Revolution to start because this was a big act of rebellion that was shown to the British, and this pretty much enraged the British in this act of rebellion. After that act was made, this made the British to go to war with the colonist at this time
ReplyDeleteRuben R 1-2 A
I think that the event that was most responsible for the American revolution was the Boston tea party. This was the first big act of rebellion. When this happened the colonists realized that the British shouldn't be in charge of them anymore. I believe that that feeling is what sparked the revolution.

In my opinion, i think the Boston Tea Party is the one main reason what caused the revolutionary war because the British loved their tea and the King needed the money to pay of the taxes and debt from the french and Indian war.
ReplyDeleteJacob S. 8-10 A
I think the event that caused the war was the Boston Tea Party because the tea tax helped the king to pay the costs from the French and Indian war, but the people didn't like the taxes so they rebelled. And the king wasn't happy.
ReplyDeleteMichele M 8-10 A
I think some of the main reasons a war started was because of the Tea act and the Boston Tea Party. The Boston Tea Act happened because the British enforced the Tea Act, which meant the colonists had to pay taxes for tea now, and the colonists still had to pay taxes in general. The Tea Act caused Boston to become outraged so that led to the Boston Tea Party. The Boston Tea Party caught the attention of the King who became outraged about this and sent more British soldiers to Boston and closed the Boston harbor, this made the colonists very upset. After this things kept getting worse until eventually a war began.

I think it was the Boston Tea Party. The reason I think the Boston Tea Party caused the most outbreak to start the Revolutionary War is because the colonists dump a lot of valuable tea into the Boston Harbor. At that moment the King saw how the Sons of Liberty and other colonists want to be free. Another reason why the tea was dumped into the harbor is because tea was taxed because of Tea Act and the colonists hated that.
ReplyDeleteDefinaG period 10/11 B
I think it was the Boston Tea Party that started the war because all the tea that colonist dumped in the water was very valuable and expensive, another reason that they dumped the tea in the water is because tea was taxed. The King was outraged with this and then sent more soldiers and the colonist were very upset.in total there were 342 creates dumped out and that showed the king that they did not want to pay for unfair taxes any more

I believe that the Boston Tea Party was the main cause of the American Revolution to start. It was the cause because the British considered that when the colonists poured all of the tea in the harbor to be treason. The colonists were very much threatening the British that they were not afraid of them, and that they would start and win the war.
ReplyDeleteI think it was the Boston Tea Party that started the war because the British put taxes on tea and the colonists did not like that. They just received a shipment of tea on 3 ships with 342 crates on it. The colonists boarded it and cracked open and dumped all of the tea out. They did this because it was taxed and they did not like it. This made the king very mad because all of that tea was very expensive and it all went to waste and he did not make any money from it.

I think that one of the best causes of the war was the Boston Massacre. I think this because this was when the first colonist died for the cause, and it got people riled up. It made people realize that the British were not treating us fairly, and that we can do something about it. It showed everyone that they have to stand up to the British and actually do something, and the deaths of the colonists got people from other colonies willing to fight.
ReplyDeleteLauren R. p. 10-11 B
I think that the Boston Tea party was the most responsible for causing the revelation. I think this because it shows how serious the colonist were getting, and angry the British were getting. The colonist dumped out 342 boxes of tea, this cost the British lots of money and it got the king to notice what was going on with the colonist. Overall it made the colonist more confident and it made the British angry.

I think that the battle of bunker hill is most responsible for the start of the Revolutionary war. There are many reasons why I think this and one of them is because even though the British took breeds and bunker hill the colonists lost far less men then the British lost. In total the British lost approximately 1,000 men but the colonists lost less then half of that with a total of only about 400 men lost. Another reason I think that this was the main spark to the revolution is because it was one of the most deadly battles during this time period. One final reason is I think this is, the colonists were running out of ammunition and yet the British suffered more than double the casualties of the patriots. In conclusion I think that the battle of bunker hill of all of the events we have learned about in this time period is most responsible for the revolution. - Katelyn Kennard, Period 10-11-B Day
ReplyDeleteIn 1773 an event known as the Boston Tea Party took place. I believe this had a big effect on as to why the war started. The whole revolution started due to the French and Indian war. After losing so much money, King George the III did not want the colonists to move anywhere west, and begin another war. To add on to this frustration, the King had started taxing the colonists on paper. This was called the Stamp Act. Finally, after much boycotting led by Sam Adams, the King had taken away tax of papers, but were now taxing other things such as tea which was a very popular drink in Great Britain. This is what led to the Boston Tea Party. 340 chests of tea had been dumped of 3 boats. This was a waste of money, which was just what King George the III needed. After this event, I feel that there was no turning back for the colonists.- Kayla W Period 1-2 A
ReplyDeleteDuring 1773 was the Boston tea party and I think this is a huge reason why the war started. The king added tax to paper and made something called the stamp act which made a lot of people upset and mad. Then they started adding tax to tea, which was a popular drink in Boston. Which made people dump 340 chest of tea. I feel like this is the main reason for the war.

I agree with Katelyn Kennard that the Battle of the Bunker hill was the cause of the Revolution.I believe that the battle of bunker hill is responsible for the outbreak of war for multiple reasons. This battle was lost by America because the British took over or won over, the hill, yet I believe that we truly won because we only lost 400 people where the British ended with 1000 less than they started with. Another reason for why I believe that this is the responsible cause because the battle of the bunker hill was one of the worst(deadliest) wars in it's time. Overall, although we ran out of ammunition, we still had less people die during this war, meaning that we were more successful.

Even thought the Boston Massacre came first and was part of how the Revolution started. I think what really caused it and made the people mad was the Boston Tea party. The colonist were furious that they had to pay tax on all of their items. They didn't want to do that they didn't think it was fair. Also on top of that they poured 340 chest of tea into the Harbor. So not only were they mad about the taxes the tea getting poured got them annoyed also. Therefore, I think that the Boston Tea Party was the biggest part on starting the war.

Due to both the Boston Massacre and the Boston Tea party being huge events, I think that the Boston Tea Party was a bigger ordeal and was what caused the American Revolution. I think that the Boston Tea Party was the reason for the American Revolution because after the British brought the boats of tea and the colonist attacked the boats, the battle of Bunker Hill had happened, the battle of Lexington happened, and so did many other battles, that soon leaded into the Revolution. ReplyDeleteI believe that the Boston tea party was responsible for starting the Revolutionary War. I think this because dumping tea into the harbor made the king very mad so he felt that the colonists had to be punished for their actions. Soldiers were sent to control the colonists but that was the last straw for the colonists.

I think the battle of Lexington and Concord was the most important because it shows that the colonists are ready and are going to win the fight now that they can use guerilla attacks. Also now they have an advantage by eliminating Redcoats off little by little. If they did not learn this procedure then they possibly would have lost.

I believe that the Boston Massacre sparked everything because it was the first true sign of rebellion against the British. I believe even though we lost five people we did what we wanted to do make a statement to the British, that were not afraid. Even though it got the British to be more careful we let them know we want a say and want to be treated fairly. I also agree with Gianna because she also said the Boston Massacre.

I believe that the taxation and the lack of attention from their king was one of the main causes of the American Revelation. I believe this because the video notes show that the colonists only got angrier and angrier every time a new tax law was passed. In fact, because of all of the ridiculous taxes were introduced to the colonists, many major events such as the Boston tea party occurred. Also, King Henry III did not care about his colonists feelings and didn't give them any attention. This shows that if it wasn't for all of the taxes and the king not giving his colonists any attention, the American Revelation would of most likely not have taken place because there would be no reason for the colonists to fight for their freedom.

I believe the main causes of the Revolutionary war were, having to pay extremely high taxes and the king not seeming to care at all about. I think that the taxes are a big cause of the American Revolution because the colonist kept fighting harder each time a new tax law was passed, and all of this fighting was tearing the colonists and the British apart. If the king payed more attention to the colonist, Paul Revere would probably not have made the engraving and aggregated the Boston Massacre do much, which cause the colonist to be enraged at the British even more then they already were. In conclusion I believe that high taxes and lack of attention from the king were two of the biggest causes of The American Revolution.

I think the main reason that caused the war was the way the British were taxing the colonists. It was not fair to the colonists because they were being taxed very high on every thing they bought, but if you lived in Britain, you were not taxed. The colonists found this unfair because they were being treated differently from the British colonists. I think this is what caused the Revolutionary war because if it was not for the British taxing them like this, then acts such as the Boston Tea party would not of happened. I also believe that the Boston Massacre was started by this reason. All in all, I believe that the high taxation from the British caused the war, because it got the colonists mad, and triggered them to attack the British in numerous ways.
