2nd MP-Causes of the Revolution

AFTER learning about some of the causes of the American Revolution, which event do you think was MOST responsible for the outbreak of war?  (6-8 sentences minimum!)

  1. The event that i think was the most responsible was The sons of liberty. The reason for this is they started big fights with everyone that they could. Like when they mocked everyone! They always wanted to fight someone!

  2. I think the most important event that occured that led up the Revolutionay war was the taxes. When King George the 3rd lost a lot of money from the French and Indian war, he thought of an idea to get that money back. King George the 3rd started to put taxes on things. Such as stamps, and the bigest tea! Theses items were all in different acts.

  3. I think the most important event leading to the revolution is the Boston tea party.i say this because it got the English very mad. For example the English closed the harbor this made the colonists not be able to work.they also had trouble to get food because they couldn't fish. This also brought the colony's together. New York gave them sheep and South Carolina brought rice. Brendan Doherty period 3 4

  4. I think the most important event leading to the Revolutionary War is the Boston Tea Party. I think this because the colonist were taxed on tea and they weren't gonna stand there. So a couple of colonist dressed up as Indians and dumped a ton of tea. This angered King George III and he closed the harbor. The colonist we upset, since they thought he would cancel the act like he did for the Stamp Act. The colonist were not able to get food from the sea. But, the other colonies sent over food to Boston. Then King started sending more soldiers over to North America. The colonists were so angry at the redcoats that they threw rocks and called them names. This lead to the Boston Massacre. And which further more started the Revolutionary War.

  5. i think that the singing of the declaration of independence as the greatest cause of the revolutionary war. i think this because king james probably didnt want the colonists to star their own land. how would you feel if you ruled a country and people just wanted to leave it for another one. they wanted freedom from you, and didnt want to be part of your kingdom, or even the piece of land you were on. the colonists wanted to leave the british for a new life. that probably made the king mad and want to fight them, and tax them for england being broke. thats probably why he started taxing them in the first place and not just england.

Thats how England got annoyed and started bringing more soilders to watch and tax the colonies.

  9. The event that started the Revolution was the Boston Massacre. That is because it made the colonists come together. Now they knew they needed to free themselves from England completely. Also all of the colonies knew about it because of the propaganda. Also the colonists were mad because redcoats killed them. The Boston Massacre was a very important part of the revolution.

  10. The even that started the revolution is probably the boston tea party. because it was a very famous event that took place. it also caused the two sides to fight. they became sworn enemies and hated one another. also they used propaganda to get the other side to look crazy and mad.

  11. I believe there is one reason as to why the Revolution took place. The main reason for the Revolution in my opinion is the Stamp Act. For example, the colonists reacted with fiery fury to the first ever tax when the colonists were under King George III's control. This started to make a deep cut to start to warn the Loyalists.

  12. I believe taxing the colonists was most responsible for the outbreak of war. King George taxed the American colonies because Britain spent a lot of money on the French and Indian War. He needed to make up for the money that was used. Some items the king taxed was sugar, wine, coffee, dye, paper, tea, glass, lead and paint. The colonists protested and the Sons of Liberty formed to rebel, with Sam Adams as their leader. The Patriots thought the taxes were unfair and they wanted to have a say in the way they were ruled. The Loyalists sided with Britain. They believed the were British colonists and should follow the king's laws. They would argue with Patriots and defend the king.

  13. I think the Sons of Liberty is responsible for the american revolution. I think this because the Sons of Liberty were the colonist who were trying to get King George's attention. What I mean is they were the colonist who were burning down houses just to let King George know they want to be free from taxes and independant from Britian.
Also they were the ones ruining everything. They would shot people and burn down houses. This is why the Sons of Liberty is the cause of the revolutionary war.

  14. I think the Boston Massacre was most responsible for the Revolutionary War. This is because Paul Revere painted the picture of the Massacre which was wrong, because he painted parts that werent there. For example, there were no dogs, and the name of the street was butcher. Also, there were no black people in the painting.

  15. I think that the stamp act was the one the started the revolutionary war. I chose this because the king said that we were not allow to move west of the US. So we moved west anyway. When we started to move west of the US. The king started to tax us of moving to the west side of the US. The tings he taxed us on was Tea. We were so angry the king tax us of tea. Thats what I think started the Revolutionary War.

  16. I think that the tea act was one of the main things that lead to the Revolutionary war. First, this lead to the Boston Tea Party. Tea was one of the main things that the colonists got imported into the Boston Harbor. After all the taxes on paper, lead, ink, glass and many more items, adding tea onto that list was not a good move by King George. This enraged the colonists even more and changed many people into Patriots.

  17. I think the Stamp Act is the most responsible for the outbreak of the Revolutionary War. This was the first ever tax on the colonies and the colonists were outraged. The Stamp Act caused people to start disliking the king. When the Stamp Act occurred people wanted to get the taxes repealed, but soon the colonists wanted more;they wanted independence.I think the Stamp Act really started the war because if the colonists never were taxed people would have never rebelled. I wonder if the Stamp Act never occurred if the U.S would still be apart of England

  18. i think that the stamp act was the most resposible for the outbreak of the rvolutionary war. i think that becuase the conoist taxed everything on paper. since they did that everything that involved paper they would have been taxed on. if theywould have to pay for paper it would put the start or the war to breakout. so i think that is what cause the revolutionary war to start. 19. I think the main cause of the revolution was the stamp act. who would want to buy a stamp for every Paper, documents, legal papers, and even playing cards. I think that the the Americans would rather fight a war then pay for stupid taxes like the stamp act.

  20. In my opinion, the main cause of the revaluationary was all of the taxes. The first way is from the Stamp act. The stamp act was to pay for all of the expenses of the French and Indian War. The stamps were put on all paper goods so if you wanted to buy any piece of paper then you would have to pay an additional fee. Another tax was after the colonist stopped buying the British teas. The colonist started to make and sell their own teas until the British came over to the colonies and sold cheaper and sweeter tea from India just you would have to pay a tax. I believe that this was the reason so much bickering and fighting had begone.

  21. I think the Stamp Act is the most responsible for the outbreak of the Revolutionary War, This was the first ever tax on the colonies and the colonists were very mad and went crazy about this. The Stamp Act caused people to start hating/disliking the king of England.

  22. I think that the biggest cause of the revolutionary was the Boston Massacre. This was the most important because this kind of let the sons of liberty start make things worse than they are. They told the patriots the truth but it was exaggerated so they got angrier and wanted to fight back

  23. I think that the tea act was the most responsible for the outbreak of the war. First, this lead to the Boston Tea party. Tea was one of the main things that the colonists got shipped to the Boston Harbor. King George was already taxing the colonists on paper, lead, ink, glass and so many more items. Adding tea to that list was a bad choice.

  24. I think that the paper taxes were most responsible for the outbreak in war because if King George III didn't tax the colonists they wouldn't have been upset and rebelled against England and started War.

  25. I think the most responsible for the out break of war was the the Boston tea Party because throwing all the tea angered the king. This got everyone angry. when everyone is angry, war breaks out. That is what i think causes the Revolutionary war. King George III shouldn't have taxed the colonists in the first place. i think this cases the outbreak of war the most.

  26. I think that the event that started really started the revolution is the Boston Tea Party. I think this because the colonist were mad at England for sending tax collectors and for taxing everything. But the British got mad at the colonist for dumping the tea in the harbor. So I think this was the most important even of starting the war because now both the colonist and England are mad.

  27. I think there was many events that really pushed the start of the Revolutionary War. But, I think the most responsible event was the Boston Tea Party. The Boston Tea Party was when colonists got mad due to the tea act. King George III started taking the colonists on almost everything they used. This led to colonists dumping numerous chests of tea into the harbor. This event made everyone angry and made people want to do something about it.

  28. Ithink the French and Indian War was the most to blame for causing the Revolutionary War, because fighting so much put us in debt. Then King George 3 had to task the colonists and that led to them getting angry. Then the Revolution started!

  29. I think the event that had the most influence on the start of the Revolutionary war was the 7 years war. This is because the war left England with little money and taxes went up in the colonies causing the colonist to get rebellious to England. The 7 years war also brought the proclamation of 1773 witch made it so that the land colonist fought over couldn't be used still not amusing the colonists. I strongly believe that without this event the Revolution may not have even started

  30. The event i think that had the most influence on the american revolution was the french and Indian war because this war left the king with no money which lead to him taxing the colonists which mad them mad this is what got things stirred up because this happened he sent troops over which started a war without the french and Indian im not so sure the american revolution would of had happened

  31. I think the main cause of the revolution was the taxing. I choose this because this is what angered the colonists in the first place. Not only did it anger the colonists it made them think about their rights. This caused the colonists to be argery at the British. That made the Britich send redcoats which made the colonists fight with the red coats. I think this started the revolution and made everything fall int place.

  32. I think it was the French and Indian war because without that, the colonies wouldn't have been taxed, which wouldn't of lead to as much anger between the countries, which would of prevented war

  33. I believe that the French and Indian war was most responsible for the American Revolution. During the French and Indian war, the British spent a lot of money. To make up for the lost money, King George III started to tax the colonists. If the king of England never taxed us, than we wouldn't have had a reason to become independent and everyone would have wanted to stay part of England. The Sons of Liberty would never have formed, therefore the battles and riots that they started wouldn't have existed. Without the cause, the battles, and the riots, there wouldn't have been a war. No one would have had a reason to fight.
